Scope
Construction of a unique outdoor recreational center and whitewater park located within a 300+/- acre property with a man-made, re-circulating, multi-channel whitewater course
Two six-foot-deep whitewater channels (four segments) made of cast-in-place concrete with 2:1 slopes
The average width of the channels is 35 feet, and they hold 14 million gallons of water
Nine stand-alone concrete, steel and wood buildings
Highlights
Eleven miles of mountain-biking trails, a climbing center, walking/running trails, plus a conference/welcome center, retail store, and a restaurant (The Eddy)
Inspired by whitewater courses built for the Olympics, such as Penrith Whitewater Stadium in Australia
First facility of its kind in the United States; ranks largest in the world
