Novant Matthews Women’s Center celebrates its Grand Opening

Rodgers joined with Novant Health, McCulloch England Associates Architects, joint venture partner R. J. Leeper, and other project partners, healthcare providers, and community leaders to celebrate the completion of the Novant Matthews Women’s Center.

The facility will provide comprehensive services for women, children, and families in the surrounding community. Brighter colors and more light enhance the open and inviting space. The addition of labor and delivery rooms, nursery rooms, exam rooms and high tech conference and classroom space will enhance patient care, education, and provide jobs in the new facility.

Safety and health was a core focus throughout the project, with more than 104,400 hours worked on this project with no lost time incidents. Rodgers participated with Clean Air Carolina in a program to voluntarily reduce diesel emissions on the project to protect the health of construction workers, patients, and the general public. The construction team was presented with the Air Keeper Award by Clean Air Carolina for its efforts through construction.

Patients will move into the new Women’s Center on August 8.
