Scope
This project was a massive renovation to the existing water treatment plant along with the addition of a new Clearwell Tank, Administration Building and Membrane Building. The Membrane Building houses a water filter system which is the first of this type in North Carolina. Between the existing water plant and the new water processing membranes, the plant is able to produce 27 million gallons of water a day. Most work took place on structures originally built between the 1920s and 1953. Upgrades were made to mechanical systems, electrical feeds, and laboratory and office space to name a few.
