Central Piedmont Community College Merancas IV Classroom Building
Scope
The new Merancas IV Classroom Building on the CPCC Merancas Campus in Huntersville, NC is a three-story, 67,660-square-foot facility that is home to the campus library, including a computer classroom and student technology center. Students can enjoy a large student commons area, as well as separate study and lounge areas.
Classrooms and offices for a Middle College were also integrated into the space, providing a unique opportunity for Charlotte-Mecklenburg School students. The Middle College allows students to enroll and earn college credits while simultaneously completing their high school classes.
Merancas IV also provides nine general classrooms, four science labs, reading and math labs, multi-purpose rooms, a bookstore, faculty offices and a campus administrative suite. The student government association also has a dedicated lounge and offices.
