In recognition of Rodgers’ commitment to excellence in safety, the N.C. Department of Labor (NCDOL) recently awarded Rodgers with its prestigious “Building Star” (Safety Through Achievement and Recognition) designation.

The Carolina Star Program, designed to recognize and promote companies that create and implement outstanding safety and health programs, is the most prestigious safety recognition given by the N.C. Department of Labor. Rodgers’ acceptance into the Star Program represents a partnership among management, team members and NCDOL.

North Carolina’s Commissioner of Labor, Cherie Berry, formally recognized Rodgers’ “Building Star” status this afternoon during a ceremony at the Kannapolis City Hall and Police Headquarters project site currently under construction in Kannapolis, North Carolina.

“You have to earn this recognition and you have to earn it every minute of every day. You can never let your guard down and that is what Rodgers does,” stated Labor Commissioner Berry. “You’ve set a good example. Everyone else will be looking to you for guidance.”

Labor Commissioner Berry presented Rodgers with a certificate and the “Building Star” flag. Star flags will be prominently displayed at the Kannapolis City Hall and Police Headquarters site as well as two other selected Rodgers’ project sites in North Carolina.
