Rodgers Christman Joint Venture Team on the UNC Health Nash Campus Gives Back to the Community!
This holiday season, the Rodgers Christman joint venture team working on the UNC Health Nash campus found a meaningful way to give back to the community we are proud to serve. 💙🧸Â
The team delivered 50 teddy bears to the labor and delivery nursing staff, who will share them with families welcoming new babies throughout the holiday season. This small gesture comes with a deeply personal story behind it.Â
For Assistant Superintendent Juan Schmidt, this project is more than a job. Juan was born at UNC Health Nash, and years later, he welcomed all four of his children in the very same hospital. Now, as part of the team helping build its future, he’s giving back to the place that has cared for his family for generations.Â
“Every day I step onto this site, I’m reminded that the work we do becomes part of someone’s story,” Juan shared. “For my family, UNC Health Nash has been part of ours for generations. This is the hospital where my life began, and where all four of my children were born. These teddy bears are a small way to welcome new families into a place that means the world to mine. I hope they feel the same comfort and joy my family has felt here.”Â
We are honored to support the caregivers who make such moments possible and to continue building spaces where meaningful memories begin.Â
