History
Pride Month began as a commemoration of the Stonewall Uprising in New York City in June 1969. This pivotal event marked a turning point in LGBTQIA+ history when individuals from marginalized communities stood up against injustice and discrimination. The riots and subsequent protests led to the formation of numerous LGBTQIA+ organizations, sparking a movement that still resonates with us today.
