Fayetteville Fire Department Training Conducted at CFVMC

03/10/2023

The Fayetteville Fire Department conducted crane rescue exercises at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in March.

Senior Superintendent Mark Lindsay led a safety huddle for the fire department to help them practice safety on the project site and to provide precautions for the surrounding community during the training.

Over the course of the drills, 18 firefighters, three instructors and two Fayetteville Fire administrators performed hands-on rescue exercises using the south construction crane, one of two 197-foot tall cranes currently in place for the ongoing three-story vertical expansion at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. This type of training has not taken place in Fayetteville for about 40 years.
