03/30/2017

Rodgers celebrated with East Carolina University this past week at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Health Sciences Campus Student Center in Greenville, North Carolina. Rodgers provided construction management services for the 71,000-square-foot facility, which is the first stand-alone student center on a medical campus in North Carolina.

Students, faculty, staff and community members attended the ceremony and celebrated the newest addition to the Health Sciences Campus. The event was particularly significant for Chancellor Cecil P. Staton, as it marked his first ribbon cutting at the University as Chancellor. Tours of the new building were held, giving guests a peek of the unexpected slide that goes from the third floor to the second floor of the building.

The multi-purpose facility will serve as a central location for student services and activities. Features include a 25,000-square-foot recreation and wellness center, multiple dining venues, a coffee shop, lounges and study rooms, meeting and event space, as well as the student services center and health services office. The new building will offer a collaborative gathering space, providing an invaluable resource for students and faculty of East Carolina University.
