City of Kannapolis breaks ground for new municipal center and police headquarters

The City of Kannapolis broke ground on October 29 for a new municipal center and police headquarters. The 6.6-acre site faces the North Carolina Research Campus and was donated by the research campus’s founder, David Murdock.

The 100,000-square-foot building will be home to city departments, City Council chambers, and a customer service center, as well as the Kannapolis police force.
