Celebrating Women in Construction Week!

03/01/2026

From March 1 to 7, we are proud to join the nationwide celebration of Women in Construction Week™, an annual initiative led by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) that recognizes and champions the contributions of women across the construction industry.

💪 This year’s theme, “Level Up. Build Strong. Communities, Careers, Futures,” reflects the drive, resilience, and impact of women who continue to grow, lead, and strengthen our industry. At Rodgers, we are proud to have so many talented women contributing to the success of our projects, our teams, and the communities we help build. From the office to the field, from preconstruction through completion, your expertise and leadership shape the work we do every day.

📅 In November, Rodgers hosted its 3rd Annual Women’s Luncheon at the Charlotte Country Club, bringing together more than 35 women for a day of connection and growth. The program included a Building Community with Care panel discussion with Virginia Sutton, Monique O’Neill, and Charlotte Rescue Mission CEO Trina Fullard, along with a collaborative Buildings with Purpose team challenge highlighting communication and trust.

The afternoon featured a Relationships with Integrity-focused session led by Betsy Treece and concluded with reflection and meaningful conversation.

📊 While progress continues, women remain underrepresented in construction. Women currently make up approximately 10.7% of the construction workforce in North Carolina and 11.5% in South Carolina (source). Rodgers remains committed to outreach and workforce development efforts that empower more women to enter and thrive in the industry. We are proud supporters of organizations such as She Built This City, Goodwill Construction Skills Training Center, and Chix Dig It.
