Atrium Pineville Celebrates Opening of New Bed Tower
The new Atrium Health Pineville Palmetto Bed Tower had its grand opening ceremony on December 7, 2021.
The project consisted of a new eight-story inpatient bed tower addition and new employee parking deck.
The bed tower includes 108 beds that will be prefabricated offsite. The ground level includes a new loading deck, electrical rooms and house services. Level 1 includes shell space for future OR’s. Levels 2 through 4 include 36 patient rooms per floor. Level 5 houses all mechanical equipment to support the bed tower. Levels 6 & 7 are currently shell space for future patient rooms. The bed tower also has potential for a one floor vertical expansion in the future.
The parking deck includes 750 spaces on 7 levels. The precast structure rests on steel foundation piles.
