Safety Coordinator – Charlotte, NC

Rodgers has an immediate need for a Safety Coordinator in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for the overall administration of the job site safety program to maintain a safe and healthy environment

Requirements / Experience

  • 4-year construction base degree in safety desired
  • 3-5 years of experience desired
  • Knowledgeable in CFR1926 standards as they apply to construction, OSHA regulations, first-aid/CPR trainer

Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Conduct thorough inspections of construction areas
  • Conduct project audits and reporting using BIM 360 field application. In addition, MS Office, One Note and Office 365 proficient
  • Healthcare construction preferred with proficient knowledge of infection control, interim life safety measures and NFPA 70E
  • Complete administration of onsite safety program with follow-up for compliance by superintendent
  • Policy writing and administration of trade contractor employee safety orientations and training
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills along with onsite one-on-one training and group safety training
  • Complete accident/incident/near-miss investigations; root cause analysis, complete with photos, first report of incident and crisis management training
  • Attend preconstruction meetings and administer trade contractor safety meetings
