Officials open new Center for Manufacturing Innovation at Greenville Tech
Rodgers joined Greenville Technical College, state and local business and community leaders to officially open the new Gene Haas Center for Manufacturing Innovation at CU-ICAR. A partnership with Clemson University, the Center will be a hub for training skilled workers for advanced manufacturing, in the region and globally. Rodgers began construction on the Center in early 2015, and classes began in August 2016. The facility is designed with large exterior windows to engage students and the community, allowing a view into the activities inside. Programs at the Center include mechatronics, CNC machining, metrology and robotics.
Rodgers is also constructing a new entrance to the campus from Millennium Boulevard, which will be completed in November.
