Scope
New six-story, steel-framed independent living apartment building with 136 units and common spaces, as well as 60 wood-framed, single-family cottages
All site work included clearing, roadways, parking, utilities, lakes and landscaping throughout approximately 22 acres of mountainous terrain
Renovating the existing Asbury facility, including new corridor finishes on Levels 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7 and the main common areas on Levels 1 and 2
Highlights
Common areas in the apartments featured dining, wellness, multi-purpose spaces and offices
Represented the largest project ever permitted by the Buncombe County Buildings Standards Department at the time
