Rodgers Builders was selected to provide comprehensive preconstruction and construction services for the $66 million expansion and renovation program at Southminster Retirement Community.
The project scope included 283,000 square feet of additions, which added 89 new independent living apartments to the campus. Renovation work encompassed an area of approximately 57,000 square feet. This included upgrades to the central energy plant, dining room, healthcare center, and multi-purpose areas of the community.
Due to the tight confines of the jobsite, Rodgers Builders set a phased completion schedule that allowed the retirement community to remain operational throughout construction. Construction duration was approximately 22 months.
