In July 1990, Rodgers broke ground on the 50-acre site for the Forest at Duke, a full-service, continuing care retirement community in Durham, North Carolina. Rodgers negotiated with the Forest at Duke to provide comprehensive preconstruction and construction services for the $31 million community.
The 470,000 square foot community includes 160 three and four-story, steel-frame apartment units, 80 wood-frame cottages, a 40,000 square foot, steel-frame community center, a 47,000 square foot, steel-frame healthcare center, an indoor swimming pool and wellness center.
