The Bioinformatics Center marks the second CM-at-Risk contract awarded to Rodgers on the UNC Charlotte campus. It is the third building located on the Charlotte Research Institute Campus at UNC Charlotte. The 100,000-square-foot facility includes a Computational Chemistry Department, Statistical Genetics Department, Systems Biology Department and a research vivarium. The building offers space for both wet and dry laboratories, and includes core facilities for gene expression, proteomics, microscopy, crystallography, and computing.
UNC Charlotte’s Bioinformatics Center is LEED® Silver certified.
