Allstate Atlantic Data Center

Expansion and Renovation Program

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Industry: Commercial/Mixed Use > Corporate Office
Services: General Contracting, Preconstruction

In 1993, Rodgers entered into a negotiated contract with Allstate Insurance Company to renovate the entire Allstate Atlantic Data Center near University Research Park in Charlotte. In three years, Rodgers completed over 190,000 sf of extensive renovation within the facility. Each of the eleven phases of the over $12.8 million project were performed with the Data Center fully occupied and operational. Allstate employees were temporarily relocated and protected throughout each of the phases. The working environment was especially sensitive in that this Data Center is the main claims/financial hub for Allstate east of the Mississippi River.

In 1994, Rodgers was presented with Allstate's very first "Quality Commitment Award" for consistently meeting and exceeding their established quality requirements. Since 1996 and completion of the major renovation, Rodgers has maintained continuous construction activity with Allstate through various facility improvement contracts at the Data Center. Total accumulated project costs are in excess of $20 million.
