The project scope involves the second major expansion to the Lowe’s Companies Corporate Headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina. Major components of the 1.6+ million square foot Phase III expansion consist of two, 7-level corporate office towers totaling 738,000 square feet and two, 6-level parking decks totaling 943,000 square feet and a new 17,000 square foot central energy plant that will power the entire headquarters campus. The two new office towers share a common first level podium and have full enclosed connectivity to the new parking decks and existing headquarters facilities.

They are designed on deep caisson foundations and are steel frame structures. The new office towers will include executive offices, employee cafeteria, an operations command center and a 145-seat auditorium. The Central Energy Plant is a steel and cast-in-place structure with three 1,700-ton liquid chillers, four 1,530-ton induced draft cooling towers, a 2,500 KVA generator, a 4,650 GPM heat exchanger, twelve HVAC water pumps and emergency power switchgear (4,000 amps). The Parking Decks are 471,000 square feet each, and include 1,250 spaces each.
