General Contracting, Preconstruction
This project is an expansion of the existing Maryfield Retirement Community overlooking High Point City Lake. New construction consists of a 383,378-square-foot, three-story building with a Wellness Center, Community Center, and two contiguous wings for Independent Living apartments and Assisted Living Physically Frail (ALPF) units.
The existing nursing home was expanded and renovated to include a new Assisted Living/Cognitively Impaired (ALCI) and Adult/Child Daycare wing. Lastly, eighteen cottages were built along with a new maintenance building.
All new structures are steel-frame, with the exception of the wood-frame Independent Living wings, the wood-frame cottages, and the load-bearing masonry ALCI facility expansion.
The project scope involved comprehensive sitework covering approximately 18 acres, which included new water and sewer line extensions, site grading, erosion control, storm drainage, clearing, and landscaping.
