General Contracting, Preconstruction
The scope of this project includes a new Diagnostic & Treatment Pavilion with an enclosed, two-level, 6,537 squarefoot connector to the existing hospital. The Pavilion consists of approximately 73,000 square feet on two floors. Services offered include outpatient imaging, cardiopulmonary, rehabilitation, outpatient registration, outpatient phlebotomy and medical and radiation oncology.
The new 2,600 square-foot Chiller Building, at the corner of Fincher and Dove Streets, was part of the improvements; it will provide 800 tons of additional cooling capacity. Approximately 7,000 square feet of additions to the existing hospital accommodate a new observation unit. Renovations to the existing facility include approximately 37,000 square feet, which facilitate inpatient imaging, inpatient and outpatient surgery, business offices and information services. The project was constructed in a phased approach to minimize interruption of patient access to key areas and to aid staff in providing patient care services throughout the expansion effort.
