This construction project is a 163,000 square-foot, 8-story bed tower with connector bridges to the existing hospital at four levels. The new tower includes 12 cardiovascular patient beds, 24 ARU beds with future OR suites, a 24-bed coronary care unit, a 48-bed medical/surgery/telemetry nursing unit, new pharmacy, IV therapy and respiratory therapy departments, and a nuclear medicine center with four cameras.Prior work on the WellStar Kennestone campus includes the construction of a loading dock and utility tunnel.
