Surgery Pavilion

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Industry: Healthcare > Clinical Services
Services: Construction Management, Preconstruction

The Surgery Pavilion was the first of six projects to be completed on New Hanover Regional Medical Center campus as part of its Strategic Master Facility Plan Implementation Program.

The Rodgers project team broke ground on January 19, 2006 and completed the 186,500-square-foot Surgery Pavilion in June 2008. It is one of the largest, dedicated surgery pavilions in the State of North Carolina.

This state-of-the-art facility has 26 operating rooms, 76 prep/recovery rooms, and 24 post-anesthesia rooms. The high-tech operating rooms, which are over 600 square feet each, have flat screen computer monitors and state-of-the-art equipment mounted on moveable arms suspended from the ceiling, which helps to maximize room space.

The Surgery Pavilion has a large waiting area, plus a dedicated entrance and parking area. To view a time-lapse video of construction, click the play button on the right.
