Charlotte Country Club

Clubhouse Restoration and Addition

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Industry: Cultural and Community > Recreation & Dining
Services: General Contracting, Preconstruction

Charlotte Country Club hired Rodgers to execute a comprehensive renovation and restoration of their Clubhouse, which dates back to 1931, and to build a new two-level, 9,600-square-foot addition. Every room in the Clubhouse was affected by the changes and each one had its unique set of challenges. Smaller projects included renovating the golf shop, teen center, pool house, tennis center, and guardhouse. Rodgers also installed two new elevators and accompanying stairways.

Rodgers' meticulous planning and phased construction schedule allowed uninterrupted member and staff access to the Clubhouse, which helped maintain Charlotte Country Club’s reputation and revenue stream throughout the renovation process. This was a challenge because the majority of the renovation/restoration scope involved demolition and replacement of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Rodgers is pleased to announce its Charlotte Country Club restoration project received a 2010 Eagle Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas (ABCC) and was selected as a 2010 EIC Project of the Year Finalist.
