First steel set at BB&T Ballpark

March 12, 2013 – BB&T Ballpark, Home of the Charlotte Knights, reached an exciting project milestone—mascot Homer the Dragon joined the construction crew to set the first steel beams at the stadium site. The 10,000-seat stadium, taking shape within the Charlotte city skyline, is scheduled to open in time for the 2014 season.
