Echo Foundation honors Pat Rodgers

On Tuesday, April 5, the Echo Foundation presented business leader and community activist Pat Rodgers with the 2011 Echo Award Against Indifference.

Rodgers, president and CEO of Rodgers, Inc., is recognized as one of Charlotte’s most effective business and civic leaders. She has overseen the expansion of Rodgers into one of the country’s top construction management firms. As immediate past chair of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra board of directors, she led the successful fundraising campaign that kept the symphony operational. Currently, she serves as chair of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce.

“Pat Rodgers is an exemplary model of a civic leader who is guided by an innate sense of social justice,” said Stephanie Ansaldo, president of The Echo Foundation. “Her vision and expertise have contributed greatly to our community’s social and cultural institutions.”

Pat was also presented with the Order of the Longleaf Pine by the office of Governor Bev Perdue for her service to the state of North Carolina.
